Precise Group in OD Urban Košice brings several gastro brands together under one roof. For customers, it means more choice. They can build their lunch around what they actually feel like eating that day.

For the operator, it is a small logistical challenge.

More brands mean more menu items, more decisions, more questions, and more pressure during the lunch rush. That is why Precise Group’s venues at OD URBAN uses digital ordering through Eatster kiosks. And now, it is adding another layer to the experience: customer segmentation and employee lunch discounts.

Why is customer segmentation interesting for restaurants?

  • Eatster enables restaurants to create specific customer segments, such as employees from nearby companies.
  • Employees from selected companies can scan their personal QR code at the kiosk and receive a lunch discount directly during the order.
  • The discount is applied automatically, without manual verification or explanation at the counter.
  • In a multi-brand food hall, Eatster kiosks help speed up ordering, reduce pressure on staff, and give customers more time to choose.

During lunch rush, every minute matters

Lunch rush has its own rules. People have limited time, they do not want to stand in line or listen to long explanations at the counter.

They want to choose, pay, and get their food as smoothly as possible.

At Precise Group’s venues, Eatster helps move part of the ordering process away from the traditional counter into a self-service flow. Customers can take their time, browse the offer, check ingredients, look at photos, compare options, and choose without pressure.

“We originally planned two cash registers there. In the end, we have one cash register and added two kiosks... Another advantage is a lower error rate. With in-person ordering, the customer and the staff may misunderstand each other. With digital ordering, it is clearly defined what the person clicked on,” says Daniel Lacko, COO at Precise Group.

Employee discounts: when lunch becomes a reason to return

Employee discounts may look like a small benefit. But for restaurants, they can become a smart way to build loyalty.

Employees of selected companies can use a 5% discount on their order once a day at Precise Group’s venues in OD URBAN. The discount is activated through a personal QR code and applied directly at the kiosk.

The customer does not need to explain anything at the counter. The system recognizes the customer segment and applies the benefit automatically.

That is where the real value begins.

The restaurant is building a relationship with a specific group of people who work nearby, need lunch regularly, and have a clear reason to come back.

As Daniel Lacko explains: "The model can help bring in people who may not have visited otherwise. If they try the food, enjoy the experience, and find something they like, they can become returning customers."

Ordering from the office: lunch ready before you even come downstairs

Digital ordering also helps people working in the offices around OD Urban.

Instead of starting their lunch break by standing in line, they can choose their food earlier through the app and come downstairs when the food is ready to pick up.

For the customer, it means less waiting and more time to actually enjoy lunch.

For the restaurant, it helps spread out demand and reduce pressure during the busiest part of the day.

That is where digital ordering becomes more than a convenience feature.

From Ghost Kitchen closer to the customer

Precise Group did not start as a classic food hall concept. Before moving into OD Urban, the team worked mainly in a Ghost Kitchen model. They prepared food for delivery, but they were not as directly connected with customers as they are in a physical space.

The move into OD Urban brought a new challenge.

How do you get closer to customers, show them the full offer across several brands, and still manage the lunch rush efficiently?

Kiosks became part of that answer.

They allow customers to explore the offer, see photos, check ingredients and allergens, and decide at their own pace. In a multi-brand concept, that is especially useful. A cashier cannot explain every possible option during lunch rush. A kiosk can guide the customer visually and clearly.

Even a regular kiosk can be fun

Precise Group also uses the Photo Booth mode on its kiosks. Each of the five brands has its own visual template, so customers can take a branded photo while they wait.

It is a small fun moment, but it adds something memorable to the ordering experience.

It can shorten perceived waiting time, support “win a reward” competitions, create content for social media, or simply make the brand feel more alive.

Digital ordering is not only about making the queue shorter

For food courts, food halls, and multi-brand restaurant concepts, digital ordering can help manage lunch rush, reduce pressure on staff, and give customers more space to choose their order. More than that, it creates new business opportunities.

Employee discounts through customer segmentation show where modern food service can move next.
