More time for hockey!

Our new equation from Poprad: Less lines of people + more revenue from food & beverage during the games = everybody is happy!

Have you ever experienced endless lines in front of the food stalls at stadiums? If so, you have certainly shared a similar frustration with us. After all, you don't go to hockey because of waiting in line, even though it sometimes seems that way.

Together with HK Poprad, specifically with the club's director, Mr. Rastislav Bohunčák, we decided to change that.

For this challenge, we found another strong partner - Visa, which helped us realize the whole vision. Together, we also shot this video about the result:

So what did we achieve?

  1. We made ordering during breaks more efficient with self-service kiosks at the buffets.
  2. We reduced the error rate with kitchen displays connected to TV call-up screens.
  3. We increased sales during the game with on-site delivery thanks to QR codes on the seats and our mobile applications.
  4. We simplified the overall management of the stadium thanks to the deployment of cash registers and warehouse management from Eatster, thus ensuring all services "under one roof".
  5. We supported marketing with coupons, happy hours, screen savers on kiosks, etc.

Rastislav, what are your impressions after six months of using the Eatster system at the HK Poprad stadium?

The Eatster solution brought everything we wanted. The project was supported by Visa, which made our decision-making easier.

What benefits does the service bring you?

It speeds up service, minimizes cash handling and enables the transition to card payments, which reduces costs and eliminates shortages. It allows customers to be served directly in the stands, which increases visitor comfort and our sales.

How did customers react?

Customers quickly got used to the kiosks thanks to the simplicity of the system. Ordering to the stands is taking off more slowly, but we believe that it will become just as popular.

How would you evaluate the profitability of this investment?

The investment was a step in the right direction, helping us meet our goals, improve services and operational efficiency. We certainly do not regret this step.
